Project
Basis
REMOVE
Our project starts with removing dead or potentially hazardous trees.
REPLANT
One of our goals is to replace every tree that is removed.
REPLACE
We hope to replace the current system of discarding urban trees.
REUSE
We reuse lumber from the dead trees to create sustainable wooden furniture.
ORGANIZE
We hope to organize and inspire a strong group of sustainably minded students and professionals.
EDUCATE
An enormous part of our project is educating civilians about the benefits of urban trees.
OUR VISION
We founded the project because we noticed that there was so much more we could do with hazardous urban trees than just chip them up. We saw urban trees as an untapped resource. Urban Trees provide enormous benefits while they are alive.
We saw the urban tree reuse project as an opportunity to allow those trees to give another benefit in the communities they came from even after they have been removed.
That benefit came in the form of up-cycled natural wooden furniture.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
We are committed to serving the environment and community of Connecticut through service education, and donation.
