School Spirit
School spirit
What is School spirit?
School spirit is emotional support for your school. This can apply to any type of school, from elementary schools to universities. It can be manifested in the exhibition of school colors in dress and decoration, attendance of athletic events, or verbally in the form of chants or cheers. Here at Two Rivers we are all about school spirit from the clothes we wear, to our annual spirit cup.
Spirit cup
Every year at two rivers we have a competition called the spirit cup. The spirit cup is a competition in which each team in our school competes to get the highest amount of points in the school. The teams are the sixth grade river wolves and river otters, the seventh grade kingfishers and herons, and the eighth grade sandpipers and terrapins. teams are awarded points during certain competitions. For example in November we have an annual thanksgiving food drive. In this event teams are awarded points based on the amount of food they bring in. At the end of the year the spirit cup is awarded to the team with the most points.
